NeoAxis company releases a new version of NeoAxis Engine, an integrated development environment with built-in 3D and 2D game engine. The environment can be used to develop all kinds of 3D and 2D projects such as computer games, visual trainers, VR systems, to visualize processes and develop windowed applications.
This release is mainly a restructuring of the SDK due the switching to a source code provided scheme. Now you can easy to work with all sources, debug your project more effectively. Starting with this release, NeoAxis opens a new destination of using the product that is not directly related to 3D and 2D. This is the creation of window applications. In the SDK you can find the Sample Window App demo. Also, to accelerate the development of NeoAxis Engine, our company invites investors. Updated structure of SDK
Due the switching to an open source scheme, the structure of the SDK was changed. The reconfiguration of the project source codes is also has been carried out. Now the debugger uses all C# code of both the engine and the project. This change makes the work more convenient.
C/C++ part of the engine code is also available in the installer. The root source branch is located on GitHub.
Set of sample add-ons in the Assets Store
A set of example templates has been added to the Asset Store to demonstrate how to create full-fledged add-ons.
Support for localization of the editor. Russian localization
The editor now supports localization. Was added support for the Russian language. Thanks to the availability of auxiliary tools, new languages are easy to add.
Creation of window applications with NeoAxis
Starting with this release, NeoAxis opens a new destination of using the engine. This is the creation of window applications. In the SDK you can find the Sample Window App demo.
Manual skeleton control
The support for manual skeleton control has been improved. You can see the demo scene in the SDK.

The engine continues to evolve. Android support is almost done, it already works. However, there have been changes in the development. Initially, Android support was made using OpenGL ES. But we encountered limitations of this API, as it is already becoming obsolete technology. As a result, we decided not to release the version with OpenGL ES and go to Vulkan. This will give all the features of the engine without any restrictions, and also simplify the writing of shaders (unification).
