NeoAxis 3D Engine 3.0 Released

NeoAxis Group Ltd has released a new version of the universal environment for 3D project development NeoAxis 3D Engine 3.0. The major new features are the support of very big landscapes, the ability to load resources in background, and updated exporters for Autodesk 3ds Max 2015 and Autodesk Maya 2015.

Lightweight Export to Web Browser

The NeoAxis Group Ltd has developed an extension for NeoAxis 3D Engine which allows you to export a 3D scene to a web browser. With this extension, you can export 3D models along with their related materials and textures. Open source library three.js is used for the implementation. This library is based on Javascript and WebGL.

FMOD Sound System Integration

The NeoAxis Group Ltd has integrated the FMOD library into the NeoAxis 3D Engine. FMOD is a set of audio content creation tools made by Firelight Technologies that play music files of diverse formats on many different operating system platforms, used in games and software applications to provide audio functionality.

Web Browser Inside NeoAxis 3D Engine 2

The NeoAxis Group Ltd has integrated the Awesomium library into the NeoAxis 3D Engine. The Awesomium library allows embedding full-fledged web browser functionality into applications and games.

NeoAxis 3D Game Engine 1.32 Released

NeoAxis 3D Game Engine 1.32 Released. This release contains small improvements and fixes for the recently released version 1.3.

Changelog

  • Sound System: Doppler effect has been added. To enable Doppler effect for the attached sounds, you need to enable CalculateSoundVelocity property. To configure scaling of Doppler effect on the map use Map.SoundDopplerEffectFactor property.
  • Bug fix: Resource Editor: Material Editor: Preview models are not visible when DiffuseVertexColor = True.

NeoAxis 3D Game Engine 1.31 Released

NeoAxis 3D Game Engine 1.31 Released. This release contains fixes for the recently released version 1.3. Performance has been improved and bugs fixed.

Changelog

  • StaticMesh: Fixed issues with performance on NeoAxis 1.3.
  • SceneBox: SceneBox.AmbientLight property has been added. The ability to control color of ambient lighting for the scene box separately from the main scene.

NeoAxis Game Engine 1.2 Released

NeoAxis Engine 1.0 Beta Released

NeoAxis Group Ltd today unveiled NeoAxis 1.0, the newest version of its NeoAxis Game Engine. Previously only available on PCs, NeoAxis is now adding support for Apple Mac OS X, NeoAxis Game Engine 1.0 delivers to game developers a familiar and rich experience in game design that meets the needs of independent developers as well as companies in this new age of development.

The newest version of the platform offers driverless support of PhysX 2.8.4. This allows developer to utilize all PhysX features the presence of the PhysX system software on the end-user’s machine. Due to the refactoring of some core/internal systems, the loading time in NeoAxis 1.0 has been significantly improved. NeoAxis 1.0 also comes with improved COLLADA support resulting in a better support for third party tools such as Autodesk Softimage and Blender. Support was also added for Autodesk 3dsMax 2012.

New version of NeoAxis Game Engine released (0.85)

The NeoAxis Group has releases a new version of it's NeoAxis Game Engine.
The new features are among others support for 3Dc texture format, automatic generation of True Type fonts, better Stencil Shadows and an update for the web player to version 1.2.
Additionally the exporters are enhanced and now support blending skeletal and morph animation.

Major Update for the NeoAxis Game Engine (0.84)

Today the NeoAxis Group released a major update for their NeoAxis Game Engine.
The set of new features and the numerous improvements make it even easier for developers to produce high-quality applications and games.

The changes in the new version enhance the graphics quality, e.g. improved shadow quality. At the same time the overall performance is increased by over 25% and the loading times are significantly reduced.

The new exporter supports now Autodesk Maya, morph animation and has a ton of new features helping artists working with the NeoAxis Game Engine.
