Artweaver Artweaver is a freeware raster graphics editor for Windows developed by Boris Eyrich, mainly oriented to professional and amateur artists who are familiar with commercial programs like Adobe Photoshop and especially Corel Painter. Like the latter, Artweaver is capable of simulating a wide range of classical effects (such as oil paints, acrylics, pastels, pencils, airbrushes, etc.) to create natural-looking artistic images.

Artweaver is offered in two different versions: a "Free version", which can be downloaded free of charge, and the "Artweaver Plus" version, which has a cost of €25 and offers more advanced features, like compatibility with Photoshop filters and higher maximum supported image size, among others.

Unlike these other programs, Helicon Filter is designed primarily to edit and improve existing photos and not for graphics creation. Helicon Filter's interface also differs from other programs in that compact toolbars and menus containing editing tools are replaced with labeled "filter" tabs, each tab containing labeled edit options specific to a single aspect of the picture. Although some editors used to Photoshop-style programs may initially find this layout unfamiliar and unlike the standard toolbar layout, beginners and those who don't recognize the standard icons generally find this very helpful for getting through the editing process. Programmer's Notepad Programmer's Notepad (PN1) is an open-source text editor targeted at users who work with source code. It was released in 1998 by Echo Software (a trading name for Simon Steele). PN1's successor, Programmer's Notepad 2 (PN2), was released in 2002 and is now based on Scintilla. Despite being based on Scintilla, PN2 supports multi-line regular expressions for search and replace actions. Freeware
