importing .mesh files

i have done a search in both the forums for orge and neoaxis.
i use softimage xsi mod tool and can export to .mesh and .skeleton files but how do i import .mesh and .skeleton files to xsi.
i have seen an importer for blender but do not use this program please can someone help.

I don't think such a thing exists. I'm really surprised that no one has created a .mesh to .obj file converter since it'd be a fairly easy thing to do and almost all modeling programs such as XSI, Blender, 3ds Max, etc. support .obj format.

Anyhow, as far as I know there's no .mesh importer for 3ds Max or XSI.

I have used the OgreXMLConverter that comes with NeoAxis.

Converted .mesh to the xml format.

Then I used Blender's OGRE XML import to get that mesh into Blender.

Then I could use other Blender's export functions to transform them to .obj
