Animated Sprites

Can NA handle (animated) 2D sprites like in Ragnarok Online right now?

Okay, let me explain a little bit... I have played with a game called Ragnarok Online. This game uses a 3D world with 2D chars. The terrain, buildings, static objects - all are real 3D like in ohter games. But characters, NPCs, monsters, mounts and pets are handdrawn 2D graphics, meaning animated sprites (like Baldurs Gate). This makes a nice and unique look of the game, I think.
The view is like a 3rd person but you can zoom and rotate around your char (so you can see him of front too), but allways your char is centered.

You can see terrain, trees and building are real 3D but chars are 2D sprites.

Has NA an entity to make this or a sprite class? I havent found anything on the Wiki.

You could probably pull something like that off if you use a billboard with an animated texture. Your best bet would be to create your own entity to mange all of your spritesheets and animations.

You can to make own sprite class.
You need draw quad as billboard.

DynamicGeometryExample map is a good example of dynamic geometry creation.
