Hi,

Please imagine the demo of OGRE (character demo).
Because the blending of the animation of the upper-body and the lower-body is possible, the character demo of OGRE can execute "Walking and attack" at the same time.
Can NeoAxis1.0 do it and the same thing?

I retrieved the forum, and read all articles that became a hit.
However, it was think that it had not been solved yet though there were a lot of similar demands.
(It apologizes if it is my misunderstanding.)

Thanks.

Hi,
I have checked demo.

I see there skeleton animations with blending two or more animations.
This is supported by the NeoAxis.
You can blend many animations by mean coefficients.

Hi,

It is true that NeoAxis supports the blending of the skeleton animation.
But, I think that it exists only for the fade-in and the fade-out of two or more animation.

Please refer to sinbad.skeleton.xml of the Ogre demo.
The animation of the upper-body not defined the animation track of lower-body bones.
The animation of the lower-body is also similar.
The Ogre demo can disregard the bones of "not defined the animation track".
This is good.
NeoAxis assumes the bones of "not defined the animation track" as a default pose. And, the blending is done.
This is not good.

I think that I can reduce the many skeleton animations if the Ogre demo and the same thing can be done by NeoAxis.
If it is possible to achieve it, I will like NeoAxis more and more.

Hi,
Yes, we know how it works.

Right, demo includes only fade-in/out of two animations.
You need make some changes in the game entity classes to support blending of two or more animations.
Related sources: Dynamic.cs, GameCharacter.cs, MeshObjectAnimationController.cs.

At this time we are working on better animation support. NeoAxis 1.1 will have better animation control.
