Hello, developers.

Our new moderators recommends me inform about our development.
Sure)

We have stable development process. In plan to get first usable version in 2017.
In fact this will new engine. Because we made new API, new formats, new approaches to solving tasks.
Now, it is a complete update with all modern requirements for similar products. Also we add special architectural differences, which I believe will be quite interesting and logical.

We are moving fast because we have big code base behind.
Please wait little bit ;)

Interesting.

Great question if being told about new formats and new approaches. Migration is the first thing.

I'd also like to know about what kind of basic computer is needed to develop with and run builds from the new Studio?

Porting from 3.5 will not easy, but possible.
We made new formats because this demands a new architecture, which affects file formats too. Even .mesh format will fully changed.
We will add fully automatic loading on the fly for common formats such as Mesh.
But with MapObject's situation is harder. The .type format will changed. C# code will not hard to transfer (mainly need update API calls, but general logic is same).
Map format is also changed.

In total, I think we will make autoconverters for common formats and will make basis if someone will want deeply convert .map and .type formats.

New Studio wants 64-bit Windows. 32-bit PC will not supported. MacOS will supported by Studio.

It is being relatively easy to port from .NET framework to .NET Core these days.
Are you taking advantage of .NET Core for multiplatform deployment?
The more complex escenario here is old .NET Framework libraries in use by the Engine.
Some comments on the subject?

Why not, but right now we are during development.
