Plans for NeoAxis 3D Game Engine 1.4

Hello Developers! Good news!

Before 1.4 we will release small NeoAxis 1.32 on the next week with bugs fixes.

For NeoAxis 1.4 we have plans for big physical system improvements.
Next features:
- Upgrade engine to the latest PhysX 3.x.
- Multithreading support
- Vehicle/car support
- Joints and motors refactored.
- Much faster. PhysX 3 + mutithreading + improvements in our wrapper.

We already got working basic physical functionality. I think we will release 1.4 during 1-2 months. Now we are working on car support.

Homura Combat Blaze Expansion Pack Released

In this blog post we'd like to second time highlight the game that once already was mentioned in the press-release for NeoAxis Engine 1.2 update. We're talking about Homura Combat, a third-person shooter anime-style game. This game was developed using the NeoAxis Engine and features some interesting gameplay possibilities, such as time-freezing and destructible environments. The reason why we're drawing attention to this project once more is the news that come from the developer's camp — after the NeoAxis Engine 1.2 was released the guys at Ohbado did not wasted time in vain. Using the new features found in NeoAxis Engine 1.2 they prepared an expansion pack for their project, boosting the game graphics and bringing the game to new hardware.

Success Story: NeoAxis Game Engine Used for Chemical Factory Staff Training

It was quite a while since our last blog post, so today we'd like to share with you how NeoAxis 3D Game Engine can be effectively used for non-game projects and 3D simulators. In tight collaboration with NeoAxis team a one Russian company developed a full-fledged training suite that will be used for staff training on chemical factory. As you can imagine, such field of application has specific requirements for used software — it must be flexible, have robust architecture and be production-ready. This is exactly why NeoAxis was chosen for this challenging task.
